8 Things You’ll Learn RVing That You Can’t Learn At Home – Part 3

Hello, and welcome once again to our blog here at Master Tech RV! This is our third and final blog of our series on “8 Things You’ll Learn RVing That You Can’t Learn At Home.” So far we’ve covered five things you’ll learn. If you want to read about these, be sure to read part one and part two. And if you’re looking to repair, renovate, or upgrade your RV in Indiana, be sure to contact your RV specialists at Master Tech RV in Elkhart. Give us a call if you have any questions about our services.

Making new friends

When we’re at home, we tend to follow the same schedule: we wake up, go to work, come home, watch some TV, then go to bed. The same thing happens with our friends. We tend to spend time with the same people, every week, doing the exact same things as the last. When you’re living the RV life, however, you’re constantly on the move and suddenly, it’s not possible for you to hang out with those same friends every week. On the road, you’ll need to adapt and get good at meeting new people. This may sound difficult and stressful at first, but think about it, how will you ever learn new things if you aren’t talking to new people all the time. It’ll also teach you to reach outside your comfort zone.

Pinching every penny

When you’re working remotely or over the internet, chances are, you aren’t going to be making a fortune, but that’s okay. Living out of an RV is actually a lot cheaper than living in an apartment or home, but since you’ll be making less, you’ll need to learn to schedule time for working and make sure that wherever you go has all the necessary amenities for working. When you’re not working, you’ll need to make sure you’re spending money wisely and not dropping a fortune on unnecessary things that you’ll probably end up throwing away anyways—it teaches you to be a minimalist.

You have more interests than you think

Finally, and most importantly in my opinion, is that RVing teaches you that you have more interests than you think. Sitting at home or spending time in one city doesn’t allow you to explore the possible activities out there. However, when you’re traveling, you start to pick up new interests without really trying. You know what they say: variety is the spice of life! So you should try your best to allow as many of these opportunities into your life as possible.
